Cancellation

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before scheduled service are subject to a 50% cancellation fee.

Window: 24 hours before scheduled service. Fee: 50% of the booked fare for cancellations inside the window.


No-shows

Passengers who don't appear at the pickup window are charged the full fare. We'll wait the published grace period and call the phone on file before marking a no-show. Flight delays don't count — see below.


Delays & flight changes

If your flight is delayed, we adjust at no charge. Text or call the dispatch line as soon as you know. We track inbound flights for scheduled airport pickups in any case — but a heads-up shortens the response loop.


Luggage & oversized items

Standard luggage included. Oversized items (skis, golf clubs, bikes, oversized boxes, instruments) require advance notice so we can match you with the right vehicle. The Mackinac Island bag-handoff workflow has its own rhythm — we walk you through it when you book.


Gratuity

Gratuity is not included on quoted fares. A customary gratuity is 20%. Tip in cash, on the card on file, or skip it — your call.


Payment

We collect at pickup or send a payment link from the office after we confirm your quote. Major credit and debit cards, cash, and check are all welcome.


Insurance & safety

Fully licensed and insured under US DOT 1835814. Every driver is background-checked, road-tested, and trained on our routes and the Mackinac Island bag workflow. Our fleet is professionally maintained and inspected.


Children & car seats

Michigan law does not require car seats on passenger buses. If you'd like to use one for your child, you're welcome to bring it along — we don't stock them. Note the ages of any children traveling in your booking notes so the driver knows to expect them.


Smoking & alcohol

Vehicles are non-smoking, including vapes. Alcohol on board is fine for chartered and special-event vehicles — never on shared shuttles. Driver discretion in all cases; we don't transport anyone who's a risk to themselves or the group.


Lost & found

Anything left in a vehicle is held at the office for at least 30 days. Email info@mackinawshuttle.com with the date and route — we'll return it by mail at your cost, or hold it for pickup.
